Hi everyone.  As I said I would have the price list available for my art which I am now making available for sale starting today  I am listing my basic prices. so here goes my list (bare with me, i'm kinda new at this)

Original Art: (the artists own work)

Drawings: $30

Paintings up to 24"x32": $50

Paintings Larger than 24"x32": note me and price will be arranged

Digital Art Prints: $20

Limited commission work: $30 for small works; note me for prices on large works (sizes greater than 24"x32")

Art Lessons ( for those who wish) in the Raleigh/ Wake Forest Area: $20 per person per lesson.

My guidelines for purchasing:

-The prices listed above include shipping costs.  If the shipping costs more than I allowed for in the price I will take care of it.

-As of right now I do not have a paypal account, so I would very much prefer check or money order.  If you wish to purchase something from me note me and I will tell you where to mail the payment to.  I hope to eventually get a paypal account set up, but haven't the time right or money right now to do so.

-Everything you purchase from me will come with a certificate of authenticity that I will personally sign.  if you get it from anywhere else (with the exception of my hopefully up and coming personal website or off of rtist.com or here) they are probably an art thief, which is not cool.

-Limited comission work will be done at my discretion and I will only allow five openings at a time.  I don't mind doing your o.c.'s, but i don't do furries (mainly because I am bad at drawing furries at this time).
-Commissions limited to Traditional media for now (I am still in the process of learning digital art, and I want to give you the best work I can in a commissioned piece).

-Art lessons are available to anyone in the Raleigh/Wake Forest area.

-Seeing as I have a rather small in home studio at this time, I can set up to give lessons in a more convenient for the student setting with a parent or guardian present for under age students (a lesson I and my older brother picked up from a  music teaching friend of his).  In other words I will come to you if you hire me to teach you a lesson.

-Art lessons are paid per lesson.  I am not a public school art teacher who is going to be there whether you are or not.  if you hire hire me for one lesson, you get one lesson.  if you ask me to come back and set up regular lessons from me, each lessons payment will be due at the end of each lesson. ( on a side note, I will be doing the dance of joy in my head if you hire me to teach you on a regular basis).

-lessons will last in two hour increments at a time.

I think that covers about everything.  I hope we can do business in the future.

Hi everybody!

I have been trying to work this out on paper for a while and am now confident enough with whats been worked out that i feel its time!.  Starting Monday September 27th, I will be offering original art for sale, limited commission work, (and for people who live nearby me and can afford it, private art lessons).  I will have more info available in a journal tomorrow, but I figured it was okay to let the cat out of the bag a little early.

Have a good weekend.  Josh

PS- I assure you that prices will be fair and reasonable.  Probably nothing over 50 dollars USD.  i got to finish up all the math first though.

I was looking at a lot of the aspiring and up and coming comic artists and cartoonists on DA earlier.  There were some who were just putting their stuff up for attention that may or may not come (DA is a big place), and some even looking for pointers and critiques, some friendly advice for how they can improve they're skills.  and quite a few of them no one had even looked at (old or new stuff) or if they did they just clicked on through without so much as a "hey," "how are you?", or "go f*** yourself!"  I felt bad for these guys.  I usually always try to give helpful advice where I can and at least give a friendly hello to everyone I come across.  Well, that got me thinking back on my days in college at MOC.   Back in school we had a place we called "The Watering Hole."

The Watering Hole was this old scratched up table in the lobby of our art department. And what we did was on our own a lot of the time and sometimes for certain classes is sit around this table.  We would work on artwork, play games, and talk about everything: what we were doing with our art, how things were going in our life, and even pointers to each other about things we may have been a little weak on.  It was our own little world and our own little family.  It's one of the things I miss  nowadays at my new school (sure they have their individual clubs/guilds/cliques, but nothing that unites everyone as a family).

DA is a lot like "The Watering Hole."  There are artists on here of all skill levels, and some are definitely stronger in some areas than others.  My wish would be to see these more wisened veteran artists give a few pointers to the rookies more often. Even the ones who post nothing but fan art could be just waiting for that kind word of encouragement or that pointer that would get them moving in the direction of coming into their own artist.  It only takes a minute and you may make someone's day just a little brighter.=D

Someone I would like to mention:

:thumb175075693: I just got hooked onto this earlier and I love it!  It's done :iconkangarookomics:.  He's an amazing artist and a pretty cool person!
